Answers

1. How much does AASC Online cost and what do the costs include?

Please visit our Pricing page.

2. What are the system requirements?

The minimum system requirements include:

  • PC (or PC-based Laptop)
  • Microsoft Windows Operating System (2000 or later)
  • Access to the Internet
  • Internet Explorer 6.x (or later)
  • 256 MB RAM

*Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) web browser comes with all versions of Microsoft’s Windows.

**AASC Online is not compatible with Apple / Macintosh computers or non-IE browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari at this time.

3. How is AASC Online Hosted?
AASC Online is web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and is hosted on secure, dedicated web servers at Rackspace®. SaaS is a proven software distribution method because of advances in data center security, networks and performance. AASC Online was designed to enable you to completely offload in-house IT resources so you can focus on improving resident services. Instead of worrying about security, monitoring, ongoing maintenance, and data backups, simply leave that to us. Backups of the data generated from AASC Online are maintained at the San Diego Supercomputer Center.

4.How do I access AASC Online?

AASC Online is accessed via the internet, so users can be up and running right away. Once provided with credentials, you can access AASC Online (www.aasconline.org) from any PC computer with access to the internet.

5. Who else can access AASC Online?

AASC Online makes it simple for organizations to grant, manage, and limit access privileges. Each user sees and interacts with only the authorized information that is relevant to them, with secure permission settings that reflect their unique roles and responsibilities. AASC Online comes standard with four password protected user levels, including:

  • Service Coordinator user level: Offers service coordinators write/edit/view access privileges to the properties and residents to which they are assigned.
  • Supervisor user level: Extends Supervisors complete “write”, “edit”, and “view” privileges for all properties and service coordinators to which they have oversight. The Supervisor user level also grants secure access to all resident data so supervisors can assist service coordinators and collaborate across organizational and geographical boundaries.
  • Property Administrators user level: Access privileges are limited to aggregate reports (which do not include resident names), as well as the property resource directory. With advanced reporting capabilities, managers are better able to better understand the positive impact being made by service coordinators.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) user level: The QA user level is generally used by organizations that rely on a third party to provide quality assurance services. The QA user level extends “view only” privileges to the data stored in AASC Online, allowing a third party the ability to access data without changing records, or entering new information.

For each paid service coordinator account, the other three standard user levels (Supervisor, Property Administrator, QA) are complimentary.

6. How is my data secured on AASC Online?

At Pangea Foundation, we take your information security as seriously as you’d expect. We take practical action to ensure the integrity and protection of your information. All of the traffic associated with AASC Online, both from our servers and from your computer, is encrypted using 128-bit SSL protocol. Only users who are signed up with AASC Online have access to the application, and AASC Online uses secure forms-based authentication methods to rigidly manage who has access to the varying data in the system. All users of AASC Online are issued credentials (username & password) by Pangea Foundation’s technical support team upon sign-up and are deactivated once Pangea Foundation is notified by an organization that a user is no longer employed by, or is serving in a different capacity at his or her organization. For more information about the steps we take to ensure the security of your data, read about Security at Pangea Foundation.

7. What happens if my computer crashes?

AASC Online is a web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application that is accessed via the internet. If your computer were to crash, you can temporarily access AASC Online using another PC or laptop with internet access by logging into AASC Online. Once your computer is back up and running, simply use your computer's web browser to access the site—all of your data is stored on Pangea Foundation’s secure servers, not on your local computer, so getting back up and running is easy.

8. Can I manage multiple sites (properties) with AASC Online?

Users have the ability to access, manage, and report resident data for multiple properties in AASC Online. Once an organization signs up to use AASC Online, its properties are added to the system and users from that organization can be assigned access to them. Service coordinators who oversee multiple properties can do so through a single login. Once you login, you can access the data for the properties and residents that you serve in one place.

9. Can AASC Online generate my HUD Standards for Success Report?

Submitting the HUD Standards for Success Report is a requirement for senior and adult disability housing properties that have a service coordinator. AASC Online generates the HUD Standards for Success Report with a click of a button.

10. Can AASC Online be used for both senior and family properties?

AASC Online was designed to be used by service coordinators serving in senior and adult disability housing communities. At the same time, Pangea Foundation does offer software that is specifically designed for service coordinators serving youth and families. 11. What technology was used to develop AASC Online?

12. Can Pangea Foundation help me migrate data into AASC Online?
